Cellar Door is the ideal place for a leisurely tasting where our informative and friendly staff can guide you through the entire Award winning Schild Estate range. All our wines can be enjoyed in our cellar door or in the relaxed courtyard with a regional grazing platter showcasing delicious Barossa produce.
The Schild Estate Cellar Door is located at the main intersection in Lyndoch and is easily recognised with its ‘sandstone and sails’ architecture. Our generous wines are spearheaded by the iconic Moorooroo Shiraz and demonstrate Schild Estate’s regional integrity, Pure Barossa.
Cellar Door is also the main office building for Schild Estate, so it is not uncommon to see a winemaker on site, or one of the family members who are always more than happy to have a chat.
Schild Estate’s reputation is built on its commitment to translating the unique tapestry of its vineyards into wines that speak of honesty and drinkability.
Cellar Door is open 10am to 5pm, 7 days a week, with the exception of some Public Holidays. Buses are by appointment only.

I have spent most of my career in hospitality; I enjoy cooking, entertaining, and collecting wine. So wine and service is a passion. It’s fantastic to be involved at Schild Estate where I combine my love of wine & food and share it with guests at cellar door. My enthusiasm for the finer things is largely due to my mum’s expert hand in the kitchen. I have a gorgeous wife Christine and a wonderful german shepherd – Titan. Oh and yes I am also a Crows supporter! Three cheers…….hip hip hooray for another glass of chardonnay. (Well actually a glass of Ben Shiraz, but that didn’t rhyme)
Kate Mieglich
Kate joined Cellar Door in 2008 and brought with her all her local knowledge and wisdom. She is the girl to ask for all the inside tips about the valley.
Mauricio Ruiz Cantu
Mauricio is our newest member of the cellar door team, he is currently studying Viticulture and Oenology at University of Adelaide, so he is great to speak to regarding any technical questions.
Leonie Williams
Leonie is the bubbly funny girl in our cellar door with great knowledge of our wines. She lights up the room, and is always keen for a laugh and will happily show you how to have a good time. She has likened herself to the Sparkling Shiraz – be sure to ask her when you next come to cellar door.
