AT SCHILD ESTATE YOU CAN STILL SHAKE HANDS WITH FAMILY MEMBERS FROM THREE GENERATIONS WHO HAVE BECOME THE FAMILY’S HEART.
Schild Estate wines are created with authenticity and passion. From real earth in the Southern Barossa by generations of a family who have made that place their home.
The Schild Estate Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a genuine expression of this great variety from a select and particular part of the Barossa. Our quest has been to produce a wine with great varietal definition and a real sense of place.
Winemaker’s Notes
Sourced from our Angus Brae & Three Springs Vineyard, in the cooler southern portion of the Barossa, the grapes for this wine are harvested at optimum ripeness in the cool of the night.
Arriving quickly at the winery, the fruit is then de-stemmed and crushed before being fermented in contact with the skins to extract as much colour and flavor as possible. The result is a wine generous in style and also showing real elegance.
The milder conditions of 2010 were ideal for growing Cabernet Sauvignon and the resulting wines show great varietal definition and presence.
